Currently, we offer the call logging feature for WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business on Android devices only.
To log your WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business calls, install the Salestrail app and complete the setup by granting all requested permissions during sign-in. It’s essential to provide the necessary permissions during onboarding; otherwise, the app won’t be able to track your calls.
Install the app on the Google Play store (Salestrail-Call log&analysis)
Log in using the same email address that you have used when signing up on the call analytics dashboard.
Grant the app all the permissions that are asked for during the onboarding.. If you don’t give the app the permissions needed, then the app will not be able to track your calls.
Make sure that the app is not restricted by your device battery optimization. To do this, click on the notification in the app that says “Turn off battery optimization for Salestrail”. Also take away "Remove permissions if app is unused". NOTE: this needs to be OFF.
You can also do this by going to App info (Phone Settings-> Apps-> Salestrail) Tap on Battery and change the battery settings from Optimised to Unrestricted or Allow Background Activity.
Go to your Salestrail settings (in the app) and check your settings, such as what SIM card is being tracked.
To track WhatsApp calls, enable the setting that allows you to “Track WhatsApp Calls”.
Once you enable Track WhatsApp calls, you will enable access for WhatsApp tracking within device settings.
On the Salestrail app, there will be a new setting -Select WhatsApp Sources.
Click on Select WhatsApp Source and select which WhatApp you want to log.
If you have one 1, select it. You can also select both if you want to log from both.
After completing this setup, you’ll be able to log WhatsApp calls from the specific source you've selected.
If you'd like to record these WhatsApp calls, simply enable the call recording feature in the Recording Settings section.
Note: Call recording is an additional feature and incurs an additional cost.
To set up call recording, navigate to Call Recording and select Recording Settings.
Enable call Recordings.
Click on the link below the WhatsApp call recording section to access the file for the Salestrail recorder. See picture below:
Once you have downloaded the file, click on the file to install the app.
Important:Open the Main Salestrail app to link the apps.
Note for Android 13 and 14 users:
Android 13 and 14 devices have additional security measures. When you attempt to select Salestrail Recorder in the settings screen, your phone may display a message about restricted settings.
To address this issue, follow these steps:
Open your device settings
Go to the Apps section
Select the Salestrail recorder
In the upper right corner, tap on the three dots icon
Select Allow restricted settings
After setting up your Salestrail Recorder and granting all requested accessibility permissions:
Tap on Accessibility settings
Tap in Installed apps/Downloaded Apps
Tap on Salestrail recorder and turn on the accesibiliity
Open the Salestrail recorder apk and choose the best recording source. We recommend you start with Voice recognition as it works the best.
Once set up is completed, you will now have your WhatsApp calls logged and recorded.
You can listen to the recording
Once it's been uploaded, you will find it in the Recording section on the Dashboard.
