Currently, we offer the call recording feature for SIM calls and WhatsApp on Android devices only except Oppo devices.
To use the call recording feature, you'll need to install the Salestrail Recorder APK app alongside the Salestrail app on your device.
Note: An APK (Android Package) is a file format used for installing and distributing applications on Android devices. It contains all the necessary files and information needed to install and run an Android app. Users can download and install APK files to access apps not available on official app stores, or developers can distribute their apps through APK files.
Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to adhere to local laws and regulations pertaining to call recording. Additionally, in specific jurisdictions, obtaining explicit consent from all parties involved in the conversation may be a legal requirement.

For some newer devices eg Samsung S23, prior to installing the Salestrail Recorder, you may need to enable the installation of apps from unknown sources. Here's how:
Go to your device's Settings.
Navigate to "Security and Privacy."
Look for an option labeled "Install Unknown Apps."
Enable the source you intend to use for downloading the Salestrail Recorder. For instance, if you're using Chrome or WhatsApp for downloading, make sure to enable the respective source.
Step 1: Download the Salestrail Recorder. You will have to change your Android settings to allow installing an APK solution.
Note for Android 13 Users:
Android 13 has additional security measures. When you attempt to select Salestrail Recorder in the settings screen, your phone may display a message about restricted settings.
To address this issue, follow these steps:
Open your device settings
Go to the Apps section
Select the Salestrail recorder
In the upper right corner, tap on the three dots icon
Select Allow restricted settings
After setting up your Salestrail Recorder and granting accessibility permissions, you have the option to enable call recording for WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business as well.
Choose the best recording source, but we recommend start with Voice recognition as it works the best.
Step 2: Go to Salestrail Recorder Settings > Check the box Record Calls/ Enable Call Recording.
Once you've set everything up, all you need to do is making calls and enjoying the feature! If a recording has been made for a call, it will show in the app like this.
You can listen to the recording and also upload it to the Analytic Dashboard.
Once it's been uploaded, you will find it in Recording section on the Dashboard.
